I am having a really rough few days. Usually the start of the school year gets me totally motivated and ready to go. But for some reason I just feel weepy and sad. Despite basically having made ten new friends in the past month, I feel desperately alone.
I don't know what's going on.
I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I don't know if you have this experience, but I often feel much lonelier when I'm in big groups or at busy events than when I'm in my solitary safe bubble. Do you think it's an element of that? Regardless, I'm sorry that you're feeling low. You are a super intelligent, hard working, compassionate, funny, awesome lady, and I wish you could see yourself through others' eyes. Since that's impossible, you'll have to trust your friend C. on it I guess. :)
ReplyDeleteHang in there, drop me a line any time you're having a day like this.
I'm really sorry you're having a rough time. Even with plenty of friends around, loneliness can creep in. Make sure to be kind to yourself. Maybe all the changes going on are triggering it? Different schedule, new people, new classes, potential school stress? Can you do something comforting and gentle for yourself? Like Cammy said, I'm also here if you want to talk. Hang in there, friend!
