Most of your peers haven't had the opportunity to step back and do this like you have. It may not have been something you have chosen, but if you choose to "own it," use it, and really make the best of it, you are doing what's right in this situation. Just remember that your peers haven't been through what you've been through--it will be hard to connect at times but the key is to allow the things you've been through to mold and shape you, and to love the new Kaylee you've been given the opportunity to create instead of being mad or upset that your journey has been different than theirs.
