Or tak...Ugh, I absolutely hate when people do that. Or take the machine right behind me despite a billion open ones. It did seem like she was baiting you, and I can understand how the self-consciousness and competitiveness kicked in, I really hope that doesn't happen again with her. That being said, if that happens again, could you switch to a different kind of machine away from her? Like an elliptical or bike? Just to prevent yourself from getting competitive? I understand the feeling, but I also know that's probably not the best thing in the world for you, so I hope there are ways you can actively avoid it if she keeps doing it. Good luck!
